El Campeonato del Mundo de Obediencia 2013, a celebrar en Hungría, no contará con representación española. Así lo ha confirmado la RSCE en una carta fechada a 28 de febrero en la que literalmente explica: «El colectivo de los aficionados a la modalidad de Obediencia debe seguir creciendo en calidad técnica y número de participantes para poder ofrecer, a nivel internacional, una representación lo suficientemente competitiva como se merece el equipo que representa a esta RSCE«. Un texto que no parece desde luego apoyar esta modalidad deportiva (en la que los clubes y participantes pagan religiosamente sus licencias a la RSCE, por cierto), y que si bien es verdad que resulta minoritaria, no por ello se debe relegar hasta el punto de no ser «merecedora» de representar a España en un evento de la importancia de un Mundial.
